      Another powerful, historic winter storm is moving into Oklahoma and Kansas and heading toward the Great Lakes.{} So far Amarillo, TX has gotten 17" and a blizzard with howling winds.{} The storm is dramatic when seen from space.{}

      Another, secondary storm is forming in the south and will be the big rain producer for us tomorrow.{} Here is our hyperlocal futurecast for tomorrow evening.{}

      Most areas will see 1" of rain,or more, and is the reason for the flood watch around the metro area.{}The rain may begin as a period of sleet and slight iciness well to the west of D.C. but this will be a rain storm, not a winter storm {}Dry mild air comes in back of the storm Tuesday night and Wednesday will be sunny and even a touch of spring.
