      A chilly weekend for early March.{} High today 46 but one year ago{} our high temperature was 70.{} Northwest winds keep us chilly this weekend.{} By early next week it does look like a storm will be forming in the Southern Plains and moving toward the southeast coast.{} It is still too early to say with confidence how any storm will impact the Washington area.{}{}Look at this{}

      This is the latest simulation showing a storm near the Virginia, NorthCarolina coast Wednesday morning.{} But this is the ensemble and the dark blue area around Washington means that's an area with the largest uncertainty of what the air pressure will be Wednesday.{} Or also where the highest uncertainty of where the storm center might be.{} I do think with the pattern we have had the past few months, were storms to our south tend to move rapidly east and stay south, right now the risk of a "major" storm on Wednesday is small.{}{}As we say, "Stay Tuned" :{>})
