Our three-day marathon of unseasonably chilly days continues on this Marine Corps Marathon Sunday!{ } Still, with some clouds overnight lending a hand, this morning was not nearly as cold as yesterday nor as breezy.{ } While clouds have moved in as a weak cold front passes through, mostly sunny skies are expected to prevail later today with highs around the 60 degree mark.{ } And while dew points are a bit higher than Saturday,{ } it will still be quite chilly in the shadows!{ } The 24 mph winds and 32 mph gusts recorded at Reagan National yesterday should be a bit lighter today, but still be{ } in the 10 to 15 mph range.

With high pressure building in early this week and winds shifting to the southwest, we'll start to warm up by tomorrow.{ } Sunny days with highs in the low to mid 60s will yield to partly to mostly cloudy conditions and still milder days later in the week.{ } Halloween should be a dry day, but{ }a strong cold front could bring rain to the area by Friday.{ } High temperatures should range from the mid to upper 60s on Thursday and Friday.

NOTE: The last three days with highs of 54, 57, and 57 respectively, mark the chilliest stretch of weather since April 2, 3, and 4 when the highs were 51, 54, and 50 degrees.{ } One major difference is the lows back in April were below freezing while DC proper avoided a hard freeze this past week.{ } Cheer on the runners today and enjoy your Sunday!
