Roads{}were wet{}early this morning{}from some{}light rain that fell overnight.{} Most of the shower activity{}is now occurring well south of the D.C. area however, and that pattern is expected to continue through the day.{} Temperatures are headed for the low 50s under cloudy and occasionally rainy skies later this afternoon.{} Yet another low pressure system{}will likely{}move along{}a stalled warm front on Monday, bringing the possibility of heavier downpours and even some thunder.{} Highs on both Monday and Tuesday, {}when the rains{}end, should be in the upper 50s.

Sunnier skies and high pressure will return briefly on Wednesday before{}a cold front and more showers usher in decidedly chillier air for the weekend.{} Some models even indicate{}a bit of snow is possible in the wake of that cold front!{} A few flakes would be a timely reminder that Christmas is nigh!{} Enjoy your Sunday.
