Important Forecast Note: A Winter Storm Warning has been posted for extreme western Maryland and parts of West Virginia until Tuesday. Accumulating heavy, wet snow will have the potential to cause significant tree and plant damage, along with travel and school delays and cancellations. A slow moving area of low pressure will continue to move along the Atlantic coast overnight and Monday. Temperatures will fall into the upper 30s to middle 40s across much of the area with increasing winds. Snow will develop across extreme western Maryland and parts of West Virginia overnight and extending into the day on Monday. Totals will be highly dependent on elevation and temperature. No snow is expected in the D.C. metropolitan area.

Highs will warm back into the 60s by the end of the week with overnight lows in the 40s.
