The D.C. region has suffered five recorded aftershocks of Tuesday's 5.8 earthquake that rattled the entire East coast.
The most recent one jolted people from their sleep just after 1 a.m. Thursday morning. It registered as a 4.5 magnitude shaker and was centered 5 miles south of Mineral, Va., the epicenter of the original earthquake.
