Today will feature partly sunny skies and the chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms as a frontal boundary remains over the region. Temperatures will be warm in the low to mid 80s and dew points will be in the 60s making for a humid afternoon.
Thunderstorms have the potential to be strong to severe with large hail and damaging wind gusts as the primary threats. Tonight, showers and storms may linger but otherwise expect cloudy skies with lows in the 50s to lower 60s.
Thursday will feature another chance for afternoon thunderstorms with highs in the lower 80s. Friday should be the hottest day of the week with highs in the upper 80s. A stray storm will not be out of the question Friday afternoon. The weekend ahead will feature partly sunny skies on Saturday with a chance for storms as a cold front pushes into the area. High pressure should make for sunny skies, cooler temperatures and lower levels of humidity on Sunday with highs back in the upper 70s.
