Washington, D.C. weather remains cold

TODAY: Icy Spots; Becoming Mostly Sunny
WINDS: NW 5-10
HIGHS: Mid 30s

TONIGHT: Partly Cloudy & Cold
WINDS: W 5-10
LOWS: 20s

SATURDAY: Partly To Mostly Cloudy
WINDS: Southerly 4-8
HIGHS: Mid 30s

Sunshine and warmer temperatures will work to melt some of the snow today. Highs should reach the mid 30s, so it won't be all that warm but warm enough to soften things up outside. It looks as though temperatures won't change much through the weekend and even next week, so they'll remain below average but not drop any further.{ }

A coastal storm is still expected to develop off the Carolina coastline tomorrow and then track to the northeast. The exact track is absolutely critical in determining snowfall potential for our region. As of now, it looks as though the majority of the snow will stay to our east. However, we could still get clipped by some light snow, and should the storm track turn even slightly more westerly our snow chances could increase. It's something we'll keep an eye on and update accordingly.
