Warm air hangs around Saturday but a touch cooler by Sunday

NBA commissioner David Stern has advised Arenas and the Washington Wizards not to talk about the former All-Star's felony gun conviction, and the Wizards say that's fine with them. Tonight: Mostly Clear, Cool

Lows: 30s | Wind: Light

Saturday: Partly Sunny, Warm

Highs: Mid to Upper 50s | Wind: SW 5-10 m.p.h.

Sunday: Partly Sunny, Cooler

Highs: Mid to Upper 40s | Wind: NW 4-8 m.p.h.

The high pressure system that boosted temperatures into the 60s today will hang tough for one more day. Although it will not be quite as warm tomorrow, temperatures will reach the upper 50s in many areas…that’s about 15 degrees above average. A cold front will sweep through the area later tomorrow pretty much unnoticed. There will be a change in the wind direction to the north and Sunday will be about 10 degrees cooler but that will still mean above average temperatures. Dry and mild conditions are forecast for Monday and Tuesday. A storm system will be developing and likely bring rain to the region on Wednesday followed by breezy and colder weather for the end of the week.
