“just like the ones we used to know. Where tree tops glisten..” We’ll be dreaming for yet another year, as mild temperatures will continue through Christmas and beyond. First up…rain. It’s on the way and will begin later tonight. The rain will become heavy at times before ending before sunrise. Rainfall may total close to one inch in spots. Skies will become partly cloudy tomorrow as high pressure quickly builds across the region. Temperatures could top 50 degrees early in the day and fall off during the afternoon. Christmas Eve will be partly cloudy with temperatures in the upper 40s. On Christmas Day, an area of low pressure will pass well to our south and east. Earlier in the week we believed it would get close enough to bring showers to the region. But now we feel there is only the slightest chance of a sprinkle or shower well south and east of Washington otherwise we expect a partly cloudy day on Christmas with high temperatures approaching 50 degrees.
