Morning sunshine will mix with clouds throughout the day today as high temperatures rebound nicely back to around 50 degrees this afternoon. That would be just below the average high temperatures of 52 degrees for this time of the year.
High pressure will continue to drift to the east tonight giving way to our next approaching storm system. Clouds cover will continue to thicken and lower while you sleep. The clouds in combination with southerly winds will keep temperatures from dropping off below the mid to upper 30s.
Saturday still looks like the pick of the weekend featuring mostly cloudy skies and mild temperatures near 60 degrees. A few spotty and light showers will be possible during the late afternoon and evening, however, the bulk of the moisture will hold off until the night and into Sunday.
In fact, Sunday looks soggy with periods of rain expected throughout the day that may be heavy at times. The rain should gradually come to an end by the late afternoon and evening hours from west to east. We could really use the rainfall and it appears that almost everyone should pick up at least an inch of rainfall with some locally higher amounts possible.
High pressure moves back in early next week before another potential soaker heads our way for the middle and end of next week.
