D.C. Weather Forecast: Wet weather here for the weekend
Tonight: Cloudy and Cool, Stray Showers Late
Lows: 30s to Near 40 | Wind: NE 5 m.p.h.
Saturday: Cloudy and Cool, Areas of Rain
Highs: Upper 40s | Wind: NE 4-8 m.p.h.
Sunday: Mostly Cloudy, Stray Showers Late
Highs: Upper 40s | Precipitation: 30%
As high pressure continues to move out of the area, cloudiness will continue to increase. A weak cold front trailing a clipper-like area of low pressure will push through the area tomorrow and become stationary somewhere south of Washington.
Late Sunday or early Monday, a more substantial area of low pressure will move from west to east across the region delivering more rain. But this time around, there is a chance the Monday morning precipitation may be in the form or snow or mixed snow and rain north and west of Washington. The best chance to see all snow, for a while on Monday morning, will be far north and west of Washington at higher elevations.
Skies will clear on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of next week but temperatures will remain BELOW AVERAGE. If you are longing for a nice stretch of sunny and warm weather, you will be longing a bit longer…maybe a couple weeks longer or longer than that. Hope I am wrong that last part.
