The Memorial Day Weekend is considered the unofficial beginning of summer. And this weekend it will feel more like a Fourth of July Weekend. As high pressure builds into the area, we will see plenty of sunshine, unseasonably warm temperatures and enough moisture in the air to make it rather uncomfortable. As you make your final weekend plans, do so with the weather conditions in mind. Most of us as not acclimated to the sudden surge of heat and humidity we will be experiencing for the next few days.
Highs temperatures will be around the 90 degree mark…a couple degrees below in some spots, a couple degrees above in others. The threat of isolated afternoon thunderstorms is very low tomorrow and Sunday and actually still rather low on Monday. I guess my point is that during these episodes of sunny, hot and humid high pressure, isolated thunderstorms are not impossible…just unlikely. Going to the Atlantic beaches? Partly cloudy and cooler there through the weekend with highs in the 70s.
