      Winter weather travel delays expected due to large storm

      As a major winter storm passes through the Midwest and throughout the East, travel delays are expected at several major airports and air travel hubs nationwide.

      Check this story for the very latest to make sure that you're getting to your destination safely and on-time. According to the FAA and Flight Aware, flights are being delayed and canceled Friday morning in the following cities:

      Washington/Dulles - Delays are beginning and reaching up to 30 minutes.

      New York/LaGuardia - A ground stop is in effect for all flights to LaGuardia at their point of origin. Other inbound flights are experiencing nearly three hour delays due to wind.

      New York/Newark - Wind is causing major delays of arrivals for flights already in the air and more for those that are being held at their point of origin.

      New York/Kennedy - Delays of more than 30 minutes.

      Philadelphia - Weather and low ceilings are causing delays for inbound and outbound flights.

      San Francisco - Low ceilings and weather conditions are causing major inbound and outbound delays.

      As of 10:07 a.m. Friday, flights have been canceled in large numbers at the following airports:
