University of Maryland parking tickets: How U.Md. stacks up
At the University of Maryland, parking citations are given out at the rate of nearly two tickets for every enrolled student.
ABC7's John Gonzalez took samples from seven schools: Maryland, the University of Florida, UCLA, the University of Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, Purdue, George Mason and Ohio State.
Using numbers provided by the schools, we compared the number of students enrolled to the number of parking tickets the school was issuing.
The results showed that of the seven schools, Maryland gave more tickets per student than the other six.
