The driver of a tractor-trailer that crashed Wednesday morning in Dale City has been charged with reckless driving.
Police say Dean A. Brames, 48, of Palm Bay, Fla., rear-ended a highway crash-cushion truck, which was protecting a street sweeper cleaning along the right shoulder of southbound I-95. The impact of the crash caused Brames' tractor-trailer to flip across the Jersey wall.
Brames was hauling caulk and other adhesives.
The 10 a.m. crash closed most of the lanes for about three hours. Shortly after 1 p.m., the main lines of southbound I-95 were reopened. The access lanes remained closed for cleanup.
Brames was transported to Potomac Hospital with minor injuries.
