An out-of-service Red Line train derailed Saturday between the NoMa-Gallaudet U and Rhode Island Avenue stations, The Washington Post reports.
The accident happened around 6:45 p.m. as the train was leaving the Brentwood rail yard, Metro officials say. There were no passengers aboard.
The wheels of the fifth car on train derailed, but the four cars ahead of it were not damaged.
Customers were delayed about 10 minutes as trains single-tracked.
