A fuel spill on I-95 Southbound at the Springfield Interchange caused major backups Wednesday morning.
The accident happened at about 5:30 a.m. near the Capital Beltway. A tractor trailer spilled more than a hundred gallons of fuel onto the road. No one was injured.
The spill caused massive delays thoughout the morning. The accident was cleaned up and all lanes were back open by 9:30 a.m., nearly four hours after the crash.
