(WJLA) - A fatal accident on I-95 North in Stafford County caused major delays.
The four-vehicle crash happened at around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday between Route 17 and Centreport Parkway. The crash shut down all of the travel lanes on I-95 for several hours, with traffic only squeezing by on the left shoulder.
The victim of the crash is identified as Dejonniza Q. White, 20, from the Bronx, N.Y.
By 8:15 a.m., two of the lanes had reopened. All lanes were back open by 8:40 a.m.
ABC7 traffic reporter Amanda Meadows says the backups stretched about seven miles during the morning rush hour. Route 1 was used as an alternate, which also experienced delays.
Virginia State Police says there were four vehicles involved in the crash.
