(WJLA) - The line of strong storms that passed over the D.C. area Monday morning have left significant flight delays in their wake.
A ground stop is in effect at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport due to the weather, meaning all flights destined for BWI are being held at their point of origin.
At Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, the FAA says that a gate hold and taxi delays are causing delays of up to 90 minutes.
Delays at Washington Dulles International Airport range between 30 and 45 minutes.
Numerous other airlines up and down the East Coast, including in Philadelphia, New York and Boston, are experiencing weather-related delays as well.
It's recommended that you check with your airline before you head to the airport if you're scheduled to fly Monday.
