Customs officials find sword concealed in cane at Dulles

A cane is usually just a cane, unless it's a sword. In that case, airport security officials are going to confiscate it.

Customs officials say a man who was traveling through Washington Dulles International Airport en route to Mexico City attempted to get through a security checkpoint with his cane.

When he passed through the checkpoint, though, agents discovered that inside the cane was a sword that had been "artfully concealed" inside.

The man said he had recently bought the cane at a flea market and had no idea there was a sword inside. Agents took the sword/cane and allowed the man to proceed to his flight.
