MARLOW HEIGHTS, Md. (AP/ABC7) - Maryland officials say all lanes of the Capital Beltway are now open after a fatal crash closed the inner loop in Prince George's County.
The crash involving two motorcycles and two cars occurred around 12:30 a.m. Thursday just before the Branch Avenue exit.
Officials say the two motorcyclists were taken to an area hospital, where one was pronounced dead. The other motorcyclist is in serious condition.
Maryland State Police diverted inner loop traffic off the beltway at Allentown Road for hours while an accident reconstruction team investigated at the scene. The State Highway Administration says all lanes have reopened, but there was a three-mile delay.
