BALTIMORE (AP) - Three people are dead after two cars collided in Baltimore.

Baltimore Police Department Lt. John Kowalczyk says the crash happened after officers began pursuing a Honda after officers observed criminal activity and tried to stop the car. The driver sped off, however, and the vehicle was later hit by a Jeep at the intersection of York Road and Northern Parkway.

Two people inside the Honda were killed and a female passenger in the Jeep also died. The driver of the Jeep is in critical condition.

Police did not name the individuals killed in the crash.
