Five people were injured - one of them seriously - in a crash Friday morning involving a school bus in Aspen Hill.

The crash happened just after 8 a.m. at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Heathfield Road, Montgomery County Fire officials said. All five of people injured were adults, authorities said, including an attendant on the bus. None of the injuries are life-threatening.

Montgomery County Schools Spokesperson Dana Tofig said the bus was attempting to cross Georgia Avenue when it was struck by a southbound car. The bus was on its way to the Foundation School, a private school for children with special needs that receives some students from the County.
