Due to extreme cold forecasts, Amtrak will be operating a modified schedule on the Northeast Corridor on Tuesday, January 7.
This will affect schedules between Washington and Boston, as well as the Empire Line between New York City and Albany.
Acela Express and Northeast Regional service will still operate between Boston and Washington, though passengers should expect less frequency.
Those with reservations are being accommodated on other trains and notified by customer service. For assistance, visit Amtrak.com or call 1-800-USA-RAIL.
Other corridor services, including (New York – Harrisburg, Pa.), (Brunswick, Maine – Boston) and (New Haven, Ct. – Springfield, Mass.) are expected to operate on a normal schedule.
