Amtrak has announced that it will operate a modified snow schedule on Friday, January 3 in order to help minimize the impact of the Northeast winter storm on travelers.
According to Amtrak, the Acela Express and Northeast Regional service will operate between Boston and Washington, and passengers should expect less frequent trips – particularly in New England.
Other services, which include New York – Harrisburg, Pa., New York – Albany, N.Y., Brunswick, Maine – Boston, and most of New Haven, Ct. – Springfield, Mass., will operate on a normal schedule.
Passengers who opt not to travel can receive a refund or voucher. Visit Amtrak.com or call 1-800-USA-RAIL for assistance with travel planning.
