Marcin Gortat: "It wasn't even close to MMA"

Hawks forward Paul Millsap took issue with the Wizards game plan Sunday.

The four-time All-Star told the Atlanta Constitution, "the difference in the game was we were playing basketball and they were playing MMA".

But Wizards center Marcin Gortat disagrees.

"No it wasn't even close to MMA," said Gortat.

Wizards head coach Scott Brooks said he has seen much more physical games, "I don't see anything out of the ordinary that would make anyone think differently," Brooks said.

Gortat's dunk on Millsap is what most will remember from Game 1. It was a one-handed jam that later earned the "Polish Hammer" a technical foul for shoving Millsap and flashing a hammer gesture.

"I love the dunk, you can get rid of the hammer," said Brooks.

"We all came out ready to play and I did prepare myself because I knew it was going to be a very physical game," Gortat said.
