Robert Griffin III was back on the field in a limited capacity Tuesday at Redskins Minicamp. He spent a good part of the day working with a new rookie, a young boy with a big heart, huge dreams, and the attitude to make it all come true.
"I got to throw the ball, I got to do exercises," Lateef Brock said.
Lateef was front and center after agreeing to a ceremonial contract with the Washington Redskins with a signing bonus of unlimited candy.
Lateef, 8, had a kidney transplant and lives in Prince George's County. His Make a Wish dream came true when he got to play football with his favorite player Tuesday.
His sister says that since the surgery, Lateef has progressed well. He's been able to play plenty of sports, and now he can add pro football to his resume.
Lateef's wish was granted by Make a Wish Mid-Atlantic and will air as a part of the 8th annual ESPN "My Wish" series in August.
