Crowder ready to take on leadership role
The Washington Redskins receiving corp will look a lot different this season. Gone are DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon -- the teams most prolific and productive receivers during he Kirk Cousins era. The pair combined for 135 receptions, 2046 yards and 7 touchdowns last season.
Jamison Crowder is the one holdover from the receiving corp that saw any significant time on the field last year, and it was a breakout year at that. In his sophomore season Crowder hauled in 67 receptions for 847 yards and led all Redskin pass catchers with seven touchdowns.
Crowder is joined by free agent signings Terrelle Pryor and Brian Quick, and last year's top draft pick Josh Doctson.
Robert Burton caught up with Crowder after a recent practice and talked to him about his new role in the offense and becoming a leader.
