Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Corey Hart broke out of a season long slump, bashing three home runs and driving in seven runs to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to an 11-3 victory over the Washington Nationals Monday night.
Hart put the Brewers on the scoreboard with his first home run of the season, a 2-run blast that hit off the scoreboard in centerfield in the bottom of the first inning. Four innings later, he went deep again, a solo shot, to deep left center to boost the Brewers lead to 5-1. In the 8th inning Hart did it again, a 3-run home run to left field off reliever Doug Slaten.
Hart entered the game with no home runs and one RBI on the season.
Tom Gorzelanny took the loss for Washington, while Yovani Gallardo picked up the victory for Milwaukee.
