Toyota Team Player: Tyler Cavanaugh

Tyler Cavanaugh

Senior Tyler Cavanaugh has found himself in more of a leadership role this season.

After winning the National Invitation Tournament championship last season, the Colonial's have fired their head coach and brought in six new freshmen to the team.

GW now turns to Cavanaugh as their centerpiece.

Cavanaugh is the team's leading scorer and was named the NIT's Most Outstanding Player during George Washington's championship run last year.

His on the court performance speaks for itself, but his actions off the court that have impressed interim head coach Maurice Joseph.

The Colonials were picked to finish eighth in the Atlantic 10 Conference, but that doesn't stop Cavanaugh from believing that this team could make a run at the NCAA tournament come March.

With Cavanaugh leading the way anything is possible. Congratulations Tyler you are this week's Toyota Team Player.
