The website run by of the most prominent pro football writers in the United States will be without one prominent word going forward - Redskins.
In an interview with CBS Sports Radio on Thursday, Robert Klemko, a writer for Peter King's Monday Morning Quarterback site, said that he and other writers affiliated with the Sports Illustrated product will not use the Washington Redskins' moniker.
"We talked about it and we're not going to use Redskins in our writing," Klemko said, according to WNEW.
King and TheMMBQ.com is hardly the first publication to announce that they won't use the Redskins name, a list that includes the Washington City Paper and Slate.
Monday Morning Quarterback, though, is likely the first major, prominent sports publication to take such a stand.
