(WJLA) - Jason Chimera will be rocking the red for at least another two seasons.
The Washington Capitals announced Friday that the 34-year-old forward has been signed to a two-year contract extension, keeping him with the franchise through at least the 2015-16 season.
Chimera has 11 points in 16 games so far this season and was most recently named the NHL's Third Star for the week ending Nov. 3.
Drafted in 1997, Chimera played for Edmonton and Columbus before being traded to the Capitals in December of 2008. He has 126 goals and 153 assists in 726 regular season games.
