Rising Star: Stephanie Morris

Showing off an incredible fighting spirit

Army specialist Stephanie Morris is what you call a fighter.

In June 2013, Stephanie was severely injured in Afghanistan. The incident left four other members of her unit dead.

The 27-year-old would eventually have her right leg amputated.

She now spends her days at Walter Reed embracing her new normal, training in a variety of sports, competing in the Warrior and Invictus Games.

As ABC7 sports reporter Scott Abraham shows us there is no stopping Stephanie from getting to the top.
