Redskins training-camp move to Richmond questioned

{ }The Washington Redskins' decision to convene in Richmond for training-camp purposes the next eight seasons is a touchy subject in some quarters, and today's Richmond Times-Dispatch has an interesting read on how not everyone is sold on the deal.

Here's a brief look, with the link:

"State Del. G. Manoli Loupassi, R-Richmond, and former state Democratic Party Chairman Paul Goldman are questioning the merits of what they call a "sweetheart" deal between the city and Bon Secours to build a new training camp facility for the Washington Redskins.

"We have chosen, in a bipartisan way, to speak out now in hopes of ensuring a serious discussion of the situation in time to protect the best interests of our city and the taxpayers," the pair wrote in a letter sent Thursday to Richmond Mayor Dwight C. Jones."{ }http://bit.ly/XA629n
