Lance Armstrong scandal: Local agency rep speaks with NC8 on admission

After years of denials, Lance Armstrong came clean on Thursday night to Oprah Winfrey about his doping.

"Yes," Lance Armstrong said when Oprah asked if he used performance-enhancing drugs to win the Tour de France. But he said he didn't cheat. "I viewed it as a level playing field."{ }

Doug Eldridge, the founder of DLE Agency spoke with NewsChannel 8 Friday about the scandal and the confession. Eldridge said that the confession's timing came right before a deadline associated with a{ }"nine figure" whistleblower{ }lawsuit.

When asked if this revelation would break Armstrong's career, Eldridge said: "The guy is the definition of triumph in the name of adversity,” adding "to write Lance Armnstrong off as a human tale is premature.”
