Glenn Harris honored by DC City Council
ARLINGTON, Va. (ABC7) —
February 2, 2016. "Glenn Harris Day" in Washington, DC.
That was the proclamation today at DC City Council, and it was so well-deserved. Glenn Harris, Washington, DC legend, was honored for his 40-plus years of broadcasting service.
Harris is DC and vice versa. He grew up in Anacostia and then was a standout student-athlete at Howard University. Harris became a radio star at Howard and then hit the television airwaves on various local outlets, most notably NewsChannel 8, where Glenn hosted his iconic "SportsTalk' show for nearly 25 years, before retiring late last year.
Harris was joined at today's ceremony by friends and family.
