ESPN insider expects Redskins WR Pierre Garcon to sign with 49ers
WASHINGTON (ABC7) —
ESPN says they expect the San Francisco 49ers to sign a major contributor to the Redskins' offense.
Wide receiver Pierre Garcon.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported Wednesday that he expects the free agent receiver to sign with the 49ers when NFL free agency officially starts. Mortensen reports the contract would include Garcon making $16 million in his first year with the team.
The move would reunite Garcon with former Redskins' offensive coordinator and new 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan.
The contract would not be official until after NFL free agency opens on Thursday.
Garcon caught 79 passes for 1,041 yards and 3 touchdowns with the Redskins in 2016.
