Crews breaking ground on new D.C. United stadium Audi Field

Crews are breaking ground on D.C. United's new stadium Monday.

The stadium, officially titled Audi Filed, will be built in Southwest D.C. and will seat 20,000 fans and has 31 luxury seats, and includes 500,000 total square feet of mixed-use retail and residential space, according to a company release.

The stadium is scheduled to open in 2018 and will also host various community activities, concerts, and sporting and cultural events.
