Former NBA and Georgetown University standout Allen Iverson has reportedly abducted his own children, according to USA Today.

Citing reports from both TMZ and the New England Sports Network, Iverson was supposed to return his five children to their mother about three weeks ago, but he is now holed up with them inside a Georgia hotel.

Iverson's ex-wife, Tawanna, has sole custody of their children.

The former NBA MVP, who starred for John Thompson at Georgetown from 1994 through 1996, has reportedly been going through significant financial difficulty.

A Sports Illustrated report from December of last year indicated that Iverson is spending more than $300,000 per month on expenses while only bringing in about $60,000 per month in income.

Allen and Tawanna filed for divorce in 2010.
