London ready for a new challenge

Mike London (ABC7)

There's new leadership for the Howard University football program - former University of Virginia football head coach Mike London.

London spent six seasons at UVA before resigning as head coach in 2015 - last year, he served as the defensive line coach on D.J. Durkin's staff at the University of Maryland.

Howard's new head coach has experience and a winning track record in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), back in 2008 London led the University of Richmond to an FCS championship.

London is back on the FCS level now, and he's presented himself with another great challenge.
