Retired Raven Steve Smith's letter to NFL: 'I'll no longer be antagonizing def. backs'

Recently retired Baltimore Ravens receiver Steve Smith went out in classic no. 89 fashion with a brief, no-nonsense letter to the National Football League and Commissioner Roger Goodell.

The All-Pro receiver tweeted his Jan. 2 letter and wrote:

This is to notify you that as of today, I Steve Smith Sr., will no longer be antagonizing defensive backs. I am retiring from the National Football League

Smith finished his final season with the Baltimore Ravens with 70 receptions, 799 yards and 5 touchdowns. The 16-year veteran, who also played with the Carolina Panthers, finishes his career with 1,031 receptions, 14,371 yards and 81 touchdowns, according to ESPN.com.
