Baltimore Ravens linebacker and 13-time Pro Bowler Ray Lewis, who has been the heart and soul of the franchise's defense for more than a decade, will miss the rest of the season with a torn triceps.

ESPN reports that Ravens head coach John Harbaugh made the announcement on Monday, a day after the Ravens defeated the Dallas Cowboys in Baltimore.

The win moved Baltimore to 5-1 on the season.

Harbaugh also announced that cornerback Lardarius Webb has also been lost for the season with a torn ACL.

The Ravens have now lost three major defensive contributors since this past offseason. Along with Lewis and Webb, Baltimore has been without standout linebacker Terrell Suggs, the defending Defensive Player of the Year. all season.

Suggs partially tore his Achilles tendon in April.
