A new, original holiday show set in Gaylord National Resort’s 19-story atrium, JOY – A Holiday Spectacular takes its audience on a journey that celebrates Hope, Love, Peace and Joy. Eight performers bring the spirit of Christmas alive through singing and dancing to favorite holiday tunes that will add joy to all in attendance. The show is 25 minutes and occurs two to three times a night from Thursday through Tuesday throughout Christmas On The Potomac (November 18-December 31, 2017).

The show took a year to develop – from concept to script and production. The idea was inspired by wanting to add joy to people’s lives given the state of the world and the holiday season being a time for loved ones to come together.

Visitors to Gaylord National also can catch the performers of JOY during their mid-afternoon performances throughout the hotel, as they sing Dickens-style carols. Composed of eight exceptional performers from across the country, the JOY cast has performed in a variety venues ranging from cruise lines to theme parks and regional theatre productions. Two cast members are Virginia natives who are excited to return to the DMV (District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia area).
