A search will continue Friday for a 49-year-old woman who went missing Wednesday from Frederick County, a disappearance that detectives told the Frederick News-Post is being considered suspicious.
Frederick County Sheriff's officials say that Teresa Lynn Cole Lentz last communicated with a family member at about 1:30 p.m. after she left her home on Bartonsville Road in Frederick about an hour earlier. She then didn't respond to subsequent text messages or phone calls.
Authorities say that when Lentz's daughter went out to try and find her mother, she discovered her 2005 Ford Expedition parked several miles away on Reels Mill Road at about 9:45 p.m. Lentz's cell phone and keys were inside the SUV, but the woman was nowhere to be found.
Detectives told the Frederick News-Post that they've received several tips from people who they say saw Lentz and that they consider her disappearance suspicious.
Relatives tell Frederick County Sheriff's officials that they don't believe Teresa would leave the area without telling anyone. She's described as a 5-foot-6-inch woman, weighing 165 pounds with brown, shoulder length hair, hazel eyes and glasses.
Anyone with information on Lentz's whereabouts is asked to contact authorities at (301) 600-1046.
