The long wait for table games at Maryland's newest casino will end at precisely 12:01 a.m. Thursday.
At that time, the Maryland Live! Casino at Arundel Mills will offer table games, such as blackjack, roulette and Texas Hold'em, for the first time.
Table games in the state were authorized last November with the passage of Question 7, which allowed expanded gambling at all of the state's gambling facilities. It also paved the way for the construction of a casino at National Harbor in Prince George's County.
The $800,000 project is bringing the casino 122 tables that will be open for business once table gaming begins Thursday.
Gamblers were able to play table games in Maryland for the first time in early March when the Hollywood Casino Perryville rolled out its games.
