Kevin Darnell Ray to be sentenced for burglary, home invasion charges
ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP/ABC7) - The Prince George's County man convicted of home invasions, burglaries and forcing sex acts upon women is being sentenced in Montgomery County.
Kevin Darnell Ray, who was convicted in April of crimes including burglary, armed robbery and false imprisonment, is scheduled to learn his fate Thursday afternoon.
Prosecutors say Ray committed crimes across the D.C. metropolitan area last year. He confessed to several home invasions and sexual assaults after he was arrested in January of 2012.
The first assault happened on Jan. 10, 2012, when Ray burst into a Wheaton home and accosted a woman at gunpoint. Less than a day later, Ray then bound a Bethesda family inside their home and sexually assaulted a housekeeper.
The sentencing is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday before Circuit Court Judge David Boynton.
