Road crews around the area are keeping an eye out tonight for wet roads that may become icy, especially where snow accumulated.

The first real flakes of the season brought traffic to a stand-still along Interstate 66 Monday. As the snow blanketed the region, it created a prolonged drive during the height of rush-hour, turning simple commutes into a crawl.

Driver Antoine Greene got stuck in traffic on his way home from a job interview. What was usually a 20 minute trip for him, tripled.

"Traffic was pretty bad," Greene said. "Everybody was going about 10 miles per hour."

Despite the massive delays, the roads stayed pretty safe thanks to salt trucks and snow plows.
