(WJLA) - The driver of a car going as fast as 180 miles-per-hour somehow survived a spectacular rollover crash last week in the California desert, according to multiple reports.

According to, Brian Gillespie was behind the wheel of a Hasport Hondata Insight at a Southern California Timing Association meet in El Mirage when the crash happened.

As Gillespie gains in speed, he begins to lose control before the car is thrown into the air and cartwheels end over end.

Incredibly, both Bangshift and Hot Rod Magazine report that Gillespie was not seriously hurt.
