The actors and crew of ABC's newest action drama, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., say that each episode of the new show is like doing a "Marvel movie a week."
In an interview with MTV, actor Brett Dalton, who plays Agent Grant Ward in the series, says that their crew is doing its best to replicate the tension and drama of Marvel's hit movies on the smaller screen.
"I don't think an audience - a television audience - has ever experienced a show of this collaboration and level," actor Ming-Na Wen, who plays Agent Melinda May, told MTV.
The series, which is based on the longtime Marvel Comics' Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division - hence S.H.I.E.L.D. - is directed by Joss Wheldon, the man behind such shows as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and Firefly.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. debuts Tuesday night at 8 p.m. on ABC7.
